I've briefly touched on this topic in the dating recession, but I'm sure you can catch on with dating is so transactional and corporate nowadays ironically because of how casual it is. We are all looking for the next best thing and seeking out what we want from people. Since when is my dating profile becoming my work resume? It feels like we're all in competition for something, but we don't even know what it is, like are we looking for the best partner in bed, significant other, or companion? The transactional, capitalistic, nature makes dating ingenuine and always expecting your side of the bargain. We have slowly become the interviewer and the interviewee on first dates and we go through the typical interview questions like "What do you do for work?", "Do you go to university?", "What hobbies do you have?"
